Sentence Mitigation & Probation

Kathleen Schaefer is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan.

She will work with you and your lawyers to identify the mitigating factors in your case and help provide the court with a fuller-picture of you for the sentencing hearing.

We will provide skill and judgment in preparing you for the presentence interview, presenting mitigation for the sentencing through numerous lengthy consultations with the client, an assessment of client records, identification of client strengths and a summary of research and relevant psychological findings. Where necessary, referrals will be recommended and a structured community/treatment plan will be included.
